Don't you just need to load your Google style settings after the sensible
plugin?

Is there any way for for vim-sensible to co-exist with Google style guide
settings for C/++ and Python?Basically I would like Google style guide settings to override
vim-sensible when I am editing C/C++/Python source code. For example of what those settings look like, please see below:

Thanks. Figured it out.
For the CPP script, I had to create an indent folder under ~/.vim and then copy it as cpp.vim and c.vim.
With that done and the following in my .vimrc file I think I am all set. I am getting the benefit of sensible.vim and the styleguides. Sorry for the noise.
<.vimrc>
execute pathogen#infect()
" Turn on syntax highlighting.
syntax on
filetype plugin indent on
" enable mouse in all modes
set mouse=a
" show current row and column at the bottom of the screen
set ruler
" disable indent during paste
set pastetoggle=
</.vimrc>
