hey jason- is it possible that this is an Autoloader issue? all we do is adding
ActiveSupport::Dependencies.load_paths << RAILS_ROOT+"/app/cells"
in cells/init.rb - which usually works?!?!

yo subimage, are you running rails in threaded mode?
if you're doing, i guess there's some load_paths magic going on in rails which simply forgets the non-standard app/cells dir.
