Thanks.

The term "split tunneling" is used to describe separating traffic into two streams: one goes through the VPN, the other doesn't.

However, most of the time we talk about split tunneling, it isn't split by app, it is split by destination IP address and/or by destination domain.

ye as i thought, and like i said "fall under", not "is",
thats also why i figured #345 is something else, even if thats also probably considered Split-Tunneling, and might be somewhat related, and therefor made my own issue here specifically for "per app"....

also you said 2 streams, one VPN and one not, but split tunneling also apply to 2 VPNs as well no? so any 2 streams, or rather 2+ streams, right?

this makes me think that if my suggestion is to consider different VPNs, it might need white/blacklist per VPN....?
while you can just set what app go where instead of these lists, it doesn't leave much in terms of security for fallback in case the VPN is unavailable after all, although....
maybe it is better to just have a table of apps vs tunnels, with the options of blocked, or allowed with a set numerical priority, so maybe something like that might be a better UI when considering more then 2 tunnels like 2 VPNs + normal connection.

so ye maybe for considering more complex split tunneling in the future, a table like that, fits better for UI,
have at the top row the "default" app setting, and below that any manually added specific-app setting....
while each tunnel is a column, and there is by default 2 columns, 1 for "no VPN", and one for "all other VPN" for the VPNs that have not yet been manually added to the columns, essentially "VPN default", something like that?
also maybe an option for "grouped VPNs" columns as well, with some set definition or a list for what VPN fall in that group.
just brainstorming UI, don't mind my rant XD
