Not quite sure what to make of i hate gradle etc. - i would highly recommend that you give them a try as i haven't seen any legitimate reasons to not use them, but i'm always open to providing them if there are good reasons.

Sure! All the tools we have today are 100% perfect, there will never any opportunity for improvement.

Not quite sure how you come to that conclusion, there is always room for improvement everywhere.
But how does this translate to not using anything at all and doing everything manually?
