Geolocation sync for users with proxy/VPN about lightbulb HOT 2 CLOSED

• Option 1:

Add Settings.OverrideLatitude and Settings.OverrideLongitude and use those values instead of querying web APIs.

• Option 2:

Add a switch Settings.ShouldUpdateGeoinfo. Defaults to true, but when set to false will not update current geoinfo stored in settings. That way the users can manually change it in config file.

• Option 3:

Use ZIP code to determine location instead of IP. This will force the user to input their ZIP code the first time the program starts, which should be available in GUI. I really don't like this option because it implies a lot of changes (to GUI, to workflow) and makes LightBulb partially unusable without prior configuration.

Currently in preference for option 2.
