Missing documentation on how to use `tsconfig.paths` about graphql-modules HOT 4 CLOSED

tsconfig-paths package is just to make things easier about imports, so it is not an actual part of GraphQL-Modules. If you use custom paths like @modules which points ./src/modules or somewhere else in your tsconfig.json file. tsconfig-paths just makes you able to use these imports in your NodeJS app.

Hi, thank for the reply. Sorry I didn't explain the solution correctly.

On this page, https://graphql-modules.com/docs/guides/development-environment
it says to add

  "compilerOptions": {
    "paths": {
      "@modules/*": ["./modules/*"]
    }
  },
}

in order to get tsconfig-paths working.

Turns out, it is not sufficient as the application will complain about a missing 'basePath'

The correct configuration should be:

{
  "compilerOptions": {
    "baseUrl": "./"
    "paths": {
      "@modules/*": ["./modules/*"]
    }
  },
}

note the base path in the configuration.
