@shawncao do you have a rough idea about how big the dataset we what to show (like for how many bubbles we may need to show)?

it probably depends on the data set itself, as a generic bubble chart component, I wish we can have some control for default. And also "slider" for user to adjust density, what do you think?

I used HighChart in my work and also explored several other options. HighChart is not a bad choice if we do not have to display a big dataset since it takes care a lot of things for us already. But we do experience a slowness when displaying a couple of thousands bubbles.
