This could be either due to

where the desktop script can't find icons for the above applications

or broken alsa config
Mixer volumes are max/min 65536/0

Wayward is currently tested with alsa only.

Try moving the above two app desktop files in /usr/share/applications to see if the issue is fixed.

Indeed, removing those applications solved the issue.

I uncommented the echo $LOCAL_ICON in wayward-lsdesktopf again and got this:

The problem is that the desktop file contains two entries with one Icon each:

therefore the Icon= appears twice in the parsing result. Neglecting anything but the first Icon should fix this issue.
