Hello @talnagar,
Yes, you can style nodes however you like using the style_nodes method.
Please view an example I created for you here.
Please bear in mind that node labels in phylotree.js are text elements, so they may have different attributes to set from elements you are accustomed to (e.g. using fill as opposed to color for font colors).
