When you run a vert.x application, it install necessary modules locally based on what your application needs, but this is at runtime. At deploy time, you normally use Maven, Gradle, SBT or similar, in which case you need to pass the coordinates of the mod-lang-scala library. I assume you are using none of that, so here's the jar link in Maven central repo for the mod-lang-scala version used in Vert.x 2.1: http://search.maven.org/#artifactdetails%7Cio.vertx%7Clang-scala%7C1.0.0%7Cjar

I solved this downloading vertx again, then when I executed the scala script this downloaded some dependencies correctly and was able to run the script...is weird because I was using the same version before but it wasn't capable of download the dependencies for running scala, seems than vertx didn't detect than needed download scala before run the script (before scala I use javascript and worked fine) ...I will try using the that jar and executing this using sbt instead of running using vertx, thanks...
