See the documentation for Violentmonkey and Greasemonkey: this function doesn't return a Promise. If it does in Tampermonkey, it's a mistake.

That said, if someone convinces Greasemonkey to make such a change, we'll do the same, of course.

@zabe40 GM.xxxx sometimes uses async function, sometimes uses callback. Better check before use.
