I was going to ask a similar question, so this might be what @yabanga means.
I was wondering if you could edit a group of related fields at the same time, for example an address with street, city, postal code, etc or a phone number with area code, number, and extension in one popup. I looked through how you do checklists as this is the closest thing now to what I'm looking for - it has multiple inputs in one popup. Can you think of some way to specify custom templates in this way?

hi, extending inputs was one of basic idea of x-editable. Custom template can be specified via tpl
option.
But to keep code clean it's better to write own editable input. I will publish a small guide how to it very soon.
