- Able to replicate the issue using the exampleSite
The problem is that the .parent class is not added when using uglyURLs = true. So it might have something to do with {{if hasPrefix $currentNode.URL .URL }}parent{{end}}

Good catch ! this will be fixable with recent @bep addition to the next hugo version : gohugoio/hugo#3591
.IsAncestor will be used instead of the hasPrefix
