Hi, I can't see an API call to query the VMs by name. The only call is the one used which returns all the vCenter VMs. The issue here is that PowerShell requires the key names of a hash to be unique but vCenter doesn't require VM names to be unique. There's no reason to create the hash. It's probably efficient to check if a hash contains a key but we can search in code instead. Try PR #172.

haven't had the time to look into it yet (cause was found last night) but isn't there anything in the virtualmachine helper or something? will check it tonight as well

btw that break isn't needed since the function to add the desktop does work, this way it wouldn't I believe. We need to get rid of the error

The break is needed other wise if there are duplicates the output list will be out of sync with the input list.
Note that it only breaks from the internal loop. The way the function is used in Add-HVDesktop requires the index of the input and output to match.
