Hi Kalle,
I see the run.sh script in this demo is based on one that I wrote for some other demos, which are simpler than the one in the voter example, but it isn't compatible with the placement of files if you use the .deb or .rpm installers. I think it is fine that the run.sh assumes that you have put the voltdb binaries in your PATH, because the installers put them in a folder that will already be in your PATH, but then the library files are not relative to that location, they are elsewhere.
Feel free to edit the run.sh script to correct the paths for your installation, or if it's easier you could uninstall VoltDB, and download and install the tarball and then add the bin directory to your PATH (which is what the script assumes).
I'll make a correction to the run.sh script this week.

Already did so. I was just using it as an example and this was mostly so others in future have easier time.
