hrm, IMO the whole ntp section should be ripped off and replaced by https://forge.puppet.com/puppetlabs/ntp. Can you checkout the ntp module, would that work for you?

I am not a RedHat like user, this module is special because it manages several things. So we should move to puppetlabs-ntp.

Initially i thought that code is managing systemd-timesyncd but was wrongly named ntp.
But it is really ntp. So i agree that a component module should be used to configure a specific component.
And worst the ntp is managed with module erwbgy-ntp, last released in september 2013 !
