% in visual mode doesn't work. about vrapper HOT 3 CLOSED

I'm sorry to say that this defect was opened two years ago on our old defect tracking system.

The real author of Vrapper (I'm simply the current maintainer) explained what's happening. I'm sure there's a way to fix it, but I haven't found one yet so I haven't spent much time on this lately. As a workaround, you can move the cursor within the { } block and do vi{ (that's visual, select within { } chars) or va{ (visual, select within { } including { } chars).

Vrapper does not support visual block mode. It requires more Eclipse mojo than I'm capable of and I don't ever use the feature so I haven't tried implementing it.

If you'd like to tackle either one of these features and initiate a Pull Request I'll help you in any way I can. I'm sorry to be of so little help here. You've hit on two things that I don't know how to approach so I haven't made any progress on them.

I didn't know about vi{, va{. That is a perfect alternative.

Blockwise visual mode is sometimes useful but I'm not desperate at the moment...

so I'll close this issue.

FYI. Someone just submitted a Pull Request (#72) which fixes this defect. You won't need to use the vi{ workaround in the future.
