I haven't used any dl, dt or dd elements in any of my applications yet, thus don't have any actual need for that method, but looking at your example it could make sense.
Do you find yourself (or do you know anyone else who) turning these things into data structures regularly?

For <dl>
, I've run into the need for .to_hash
a few times. Definition lists are always lists of key-value pairs, so a Ruby Hash is a natural representation of the data. I've never used Table#hashes
, but I can see how it's useful to some people.
If there are no objections, I'll go ahead and add this soon.
