It should work to use "http://username:password@host:port/" for your http_proxy, or https_proxy settings. There is another ticket where this is discussed. Hopefully in the next version I allow for http_proxy to be set to "system" which should inherit system-wide proxy settings.

Well, I tried to use that but I am still getting the 407 error code ! May be I am doing something wrong here. I have it in my config something like this : "http_proxy": "http://domain\anilit99:[email protected]:8080", and a couple of combinations as well. But the dreaded 407 was still haunting me.
But wouldnt it be much easier if we can split into 4 fields ? It will be very useful for amateurs like me. But of course as you said, if you could just inherit the system level settings, I will buy a beer whenever you are in this part of the world !

I just released version 1.2.10 (ccdc4bf) which should automatically uses your system proxy config. Just leave the http_proxy and https_proxy settings blank in the Package Control settings.

I use Package Control v.1.4.1 in office (through proxy), but I see HTTP error 407 in console when trying install packages. I tried to set up "http_proxy" in User Settings, but it didn't help.
What should I do?

P.S. Proxy is Microsoft ISA and Win 7 x64 on my pc.
