@tommyfok it can happen if you already have loaders in your webpack config. If you want to apply the only one loader, you can type var imgStr = require('!!url!./images/off.png');. That !! override everything, and loader will be applied only once, not twice.

@tommyfok Still got this regression, it's recommended to setup a webpack.config.js and avoid the loader setup in file paths. I need more info about your current setup aswell please
