I have found that it doesn't seem to be an issue with the components themselves.
Works
import Alert from 'vue-strap/src/alert'does NOT work
import { alert } from 'vue-strap'from vue-strap.

I can confirm that this is unrelated to Vue 2.1.10 itself ... Check this jsfiddle
I 'm really wanting to move forward on this issue, it should be marked as high priority!
and its on all components that use <slot>
from vue-strap.
