COPY command results seem to get cached about docker-build-with-cache-action HOT 3 CLOSED

Hi @Morriz . Thanks for using this GitHub action.

I have made some tests on this repo and it seems it is working as expected:

• Invalidated cache (both in intermediate stage and final image): https://github.com/whoan/hello-world/runs/1656334335?check_suite_focus=true
• Invalidated cache only in final image: https://github.com/whoan/hello-world/runs/1656347282?check_suite_focus=true
• Invalidated cache only in intermediate stage: https://github.com/whoan/hello-world/runs/1656357548

My questions for you are:

• Are you 100% sure that your updated files are not ignored in your .dockerignore file?
• Is it a public repo so I can check the action log?
• Which COPY line in your Dockerfile is the one that you expect being invalidated?
• How are you checking out the files this actions is using? eg: are you using uses: actions/checkout@v1? Could you play with that too?

Closing this due to own error: conflicting github repo was publishing at exactly the folder location causing problems. Forgot to disable publication after migration. Doh!
