Fair point. So, we need to decide which ones to create. At present the following are missing:

• Template:Db-banned-notice -- don't need this one
• Template:Db-histmerge-notice
• Template:Db-move-notice
• Template:Db-xfd-notice
• Template:Db-disambig-notice
• Template:Db-movedab-notice
• Template:Db-copypaste-notice
• Template:Db-g6-notice
• Template:Db-author-notice -- don't need this one
• Template:Db-g8-notice
• Template:Db-talk-notice
• Template:Db-subpage-notice
• Template:Db-templatecat-notice
• Template:Db-userreq-notice -- don't need this one
• Template:Db-nouser-notice -- probably don't need this one
• Template:Db-p1-notice

So most of the missing ones are for G6 and G8 subcriteria. I don't know if we really need notifications for those. Definitely, though, P1 should be created.

How about this plan:

• Remove G5, G6 (?), G7, G8 (?), U1, U2 (?) from the preferences - re G8, I do realise that Template:db-redirnone-notice does exist, but it's totally useless IMHO - in fact, I have just nominated it for TFD
• Create a notification template for P1
• Review the current default preference for notification...
