Only single OrderID returned in V1/guest-carts/:cartID/order or V1/carts/:cartID/order PUT endpoints about magento2-split-order HOT 2 CLOSED

I managed to fix this via some changes in Plugin/SplitQuote.php. I also learned how the "around" keyword works in PHP.
Inside aroundPlaceOrder(), add the following lines at the end.
$order_ids = array(); foreach(array_keys($orderIds) as $orderKey) { $order_ids[] = (string)$orderKey; }; return array_values($order_ids);

I'll raise a PR for this over the weekend if this sounds ok.
