I think that makes sense - but make sure the header docstring includes a
comment about this. BTW code does not have to be correct for it to be
committed and pushed, it just has to compile and run! You should make your
commits atomic (ie small and indivisible), and push often.

interpolation on each plane of the data cube separately? It seems to work
on rgb jpeg images at least (conserves color), but I want to be sure before
I commit anything.
