Redirect Loop When Projects Page has Slug "Projects" about projects HOT 16 CLOSED

Hm I have this exact same setup and it's working OK. That page should redirect you to the projects post type archive.

I changed the slug to test-projects-page and now I have a 404 error. See issue #28 .

Still appears to be an issue (using WooThemes Hub, on WP4.0 via WP Engine).

Yeah, tried a few bits; deactivating & re-activating plugin, changing page slug, moving page hierarchy, changing page template, but no joy.

I stumbled upon this page after experiencing the exact same thing (page assigned as project archive page displayed redirect loop instead of project archive page) on my local machine. I flushed the permalink cache by opening Dashboard > Settings > Permalinks and it worked for me. Have you guys tried that?

Anyway, this got me thinking tho: probably flush_rewrite_rules() needs to be triggered when setting is saved? I searched the code and apparently flush_rewrite_rules() is only fired during plugin activation / deactivation and saving widget.

The main projects page needs a target "page" to live on. If the "default" template for that target has a sidebar with links back to the target then you get the loop deal. Break the link to the target in setup. Change the template to be "full width" and then re-link the target. Problem solved.
