Another alternative idea:

pub struct MyEvent(4): Event {
    // ...
}

from xrb.

I have decided on this:

pub struct MyEvent: Event<4> {
    // ...
}

And, to match, this for requests and replies:

pub struct MyRequest1: Request<3> {
    // ...
}

pub struct MyRequest2: Request<4> -> MyReply {
    // ...
}

pub struct MyReply: Reply for MyRequest2 {
    // ...
}

This is now effectively complete; the code regarding the macro parsing in general will need a pass to 'join up all the loose ends', and such, but metadata parsing code has been written, even if it may need to be tweaked.
