I've experienced this as well, when using allosaurus to annotate oral diadochokinesis (DDK) recordings (person instructed to "repeat 'Pa-Ta-Ka' as quickly and clearly as possible"). Each file is 15 seconds long and contains roughly 10 and 100 syllables (DDK rate ~0-8 syllables/second). Sometimes long segments of the recording have no phones according to the model. I can't hear any obvious difference in those segments, and it doesn't seem related to the DDK rate.

I will look into this and see what's happening here.
I am currently trying to train new models of allosaurus, and hope to fix this issue in the next version.
