The reason is that xp::reflect($arg) does not return the correct FQCN if the class has not been loaded, which is visible in the above stacktrace:

# The line before, it's still OK!
at lang.FunctionType::verifiedMethod((0x15)'unittest.assert.Value', (0x3)'new', ...from core.
