I think the correct process is to use the XSF website... :-)

A problem with specifying how to render your own XEPs is that people may think these are the current XEPs - whereas they may not be.

I think providing some guidance to XEP writers on how to create the rendered HTML is worth adding. I personally do a better job proofreading my work by reading the rendered HTML than the source XML, and I'm sure I'm not alone.

I appreciate the argument about expectations of the source of truth, but I think people already have expectations regardless of whether or not this README provided instructions.

I'll update the README and provide a pointer to XEP-0143, plus mention the handy use of xsltproc, a la 'xsltproc xep.xsl xep-0167.xml > ~/Desktop/xep-0167.html'
