Yes, a Tier search parameter would be relevant. In the meantime you can do it manually based on the Landsat Product ID. In LE07_L1TP_188054_20161229_20170219_01_T1, T1 refers to the tier. I think it's RT for real time images. Also the tier info is present in the scene metadata returned by landsatxplore.

What do you mean by SR treatment ? Collection 1 Level-1 images that are available for order (collection 1 level-2) ? For collection 2, all collection 2 level 2 images are processed to surface reflectance.

Yes, concerning T1 T2 and RT it's exactly what I am doing right now, filtering on the 2 last characters.

In SR, I mean Surface Reflectance. For instance, not all images in the Collection 1 are concerned by further SR treatment such that Real Time images (RT). If you order to usgs such an image, usgs will send you an error.
