Would be nice to auth with github since most people using npm already have github and it supports 2 factor authentication.
Also, in order to push people to do it, warning on kpm install for all the dependencies that do not use it would be awesome. It doesn't prevent you from publishing a library without, but you'll be peer pressured to do it.

Looks like npm entreprise supports some kind of 2fac through github: http://blog.npmjs.org/post/106559223730/npm-enterprise-with-github-2fa
