Also, need to change an input type of the text. It is by default set to phone, change it to numberDecimal
from currencyedittext.

Hello,
Thanks. I want to text to be on left.
None of this options does not help:
android:gravity="start"android:textDirection="locale" android:textAlignment="viewStart"programmatically:
binding.etAmount.gravity = Gravity.LEFT
from currencyedittext.

Hello i have the same problem but this worked for me;
[your_edittext].setTextAlignment(View.TEXT_ALIGNMENT_VIEW_START);
