At least for CHANGES.rst.
I see that HISTORY.rst and CHANGELOG.whatever_extension isn't supported. iirc, everybody uses CHANGES.xxx nowadays, HISTORY.txt seems only to be used by old zope/plone products.
There's nothing wrong with supporting a few extra ones, however. Is there a real need for this?

Maybe have README updated to state what file formats are supported. The current README is incorrect regarding the issue.

Good point about the not-up-to-date-readme! Thanks for looking at zest.releaser with a fresh eye, I just don't seem to see these issues anymore.
While I was at it I also added CHANGELOG support. And I'm checking for multiple different extensions, too.
