It happens when you do ALEX,CHRIS -> ALEX in messages -> ALEX in message -> press back
Then it breaks

If a detail opens another detail directly, then the master is displayed but it is not directly part of the StateChange and therefore never gets removed.
This is now fixed for top states, but it wouldn't work with asymmetrical navigation.
Also, clearStatesNotIn() kills the state associated with keys that are not in the state change, so this is actually a problem.

clearStatesNotIn() problem is fixed, but the outlying masters are still handled only for top states.
However, this doesn't cause a direct issue in the example. It is easier to reason about this behavior if the master is always added to the states of the application...
