With a bit of reverse engineering I now know what makes a cell show the newlines. In the following example A1 shows newlines and B1 does not:

<c r="A1" s="1" t="s"><v>0</v></c>
<c r="B1" t="s"><v>1</v></c>

So it seems that the attribute s="1" needs to be on the cell to show newlines.

By looking at the code, my suggestion is to check if the cell value contains \n and only then set the attribute. What do you think of that?

Hi,

Oh.... I forgot to fix it :(
I'll release a new version on the next days to fix it.
