Unbreakable is bugged about cmi HOT 4 CLOSED

In later versions enabling unbreakable would only make item unbreakable, but it should not repair it, aka existing durability will remain as it was before, but it should remain at same level independent how much you use that item.
Which server type are you running specifically? As reported Paper one doesn't match based on version number, so this could be a cause of your specific server type.

That build number 2260 is from purpur.

on 1.20.4 it seems to behave as always, for me, on new iron pick with /cmi unbreakable true

I upgraded paper to their latest build, and cmi and cmilib, and I got a new pickaxe with nothing on it /cmi unbreakable true, and started mining in survival, durability is not going down.

i got a custom pickaxe from 1.19+ that got moved from 1.20.4 to 1.21, and already had unbreakable on it.,. it also doesn't seem to go down in durability after minute of mining.

cannot reproduce, perhaps an issue with purpur, but cannot reproduce the issue on paper.
