Bloodhound.php uses yii\base\Object which is no longer available in modern version of Yii, because Object is now a reserved keyword in PHP 7.2.

Trying to use the component in PHP 7.2 environment results in error:

PHP Compile Error – yii\base\ErrorException
Cannot use yii\base\Object as Object because 'Object' is a special class name

On a:

php composer.phar require "2amigos/yii2-type-ahead-widget" "*"

Composer says to me:

Problem 1
- The requested package 2amigos/yii2-type-ahead-widget could not be found in any version, there may be a typo in the package name.

How should we handle this? new major version or the asset class should be backwards compatible? I can submit a PR.

I failed to install version 1.1.0 on a clean Yii2 install (basic template) with yii2-gii 2.0.4.

  Problem 1
    - Installation request for 2amigos/yii2-type-ahead-widget 1.1.0 -> satisfiable by 2amigos/yii2-type-ahead-widget[1.1].
    - Conclusion: remove bower-asset/typeahead.js v0.10.5
    - Conclusion: don't install bower-asset/typeahead.js v0.10.5
    - 2amigos/yii2-type-ahead-widget 1.1 requires bower-asset/typeahead.js ~0.11.0 -> satisfiable by bower-asset/typeahead.js[v0.11.1, v0.11.0].
    - Can only install one of: bower-asset/typeahead.js[v0.10.5, v0.11.1].
    - Can only install one of: bower-asset/typeahead.js[v0.10.5, v0.11.0].
    - Installation request for bower-asset/typeahead.js == 0.10.5.0 -> satisfiable by bower-asset/typeahead.js[v0.10.5].
