3RDD GCode Sender, Issues, Bugs, Features and Wiki

3RDD GCode Sender is another GRBL streaming program (similar to UGS, bCNC etc) derived and highly continously modified from OpenCNCPilot (more PCB placed) to more towards to general CNC routing and is continously being developed with new and improved features.

Some of the current enhancements include configurable hotkeys, customizable colors for the 3D workspace (Rapids, Lines and Arcs), Jogging buttons, Autoupdater, and Export GRBL settings to a formatted file and other cnc routing tweaks and functions.

Built and Compiled using Visual Studio 2019, .NET 4.6+ and WPF and due to that, it is Windows only.

Work Offsets: Save Offset button does not save, yet individual axis saves

When using the Work Offsets Window, using the button to save all axis offsets does not save but change each value and saving individually does save.

Add Reload File Button in File Tab

Add a reload button to the file tab to reload the previous file for doing the same job again. Previous reload function already implemented

Update Wiki for version 2.0.1.1

Window size not saving for maximized

Window state is saved when the window is resized manually but if maximized does not save maximized start and reverts back to the last resized size.

Jog Feed does not take effect until focused

The jog feed box in the manual tab does not take effect unless after it has changed the user clicks their mouse into it (to take focus).

Display Comments from GCode

Display comments from GCode to user to know what the code at that point is doing.

Enable or Disable display of the warning dialoge

Let the user select if to display the warning dialog or not when a GCode is loaded. Selectable through settings panel

Change the way Hotkeys are Set and Reset Ref#19

Change the way hotkeys are set and reset.

Previously:
Set desired hotkey, double click field to save.

Now:
Set desired hotkey and saved at the same time, double click the field to clear the hotkey.

Both instances, Hotkeys are immediately available to the program.

Move gantry to location with click of the mouse Note: Basic Implementation added, need to add Hotkey function ie SHIFT+Right Click.
Increase decrease jog amount with keyboard
keyboard jog without focus area - Removed Jogging Focus Textbox

Can't connect

When trying to connect to GRBL for the first time receive this message:

Method not found: '!!0[] System.Array.Empty()'.

when pressing connect button after first failed attempt receive the message:

Can't connect: Already Connected

Notes:
using the com port that works with bCNC and same baud rate, using controller buffer 127 with Uno
Reset grbl when connecting unchecked (alos tried with checked)

Ability to customize color of Rapid, Line and Arc's

In the settings panel, allow the customization of colors for Rapid, Line and Arcs in the model display.

X, Y, Z Axis Step Fine Tune Calculation Popup

Small pop up window for fine tuning the Steps for $100, $101, $102 to get exact value as doing just a round number ie 400 or 800 step/mm etc could actually be undercutting as much as 0.03mm per 1mm.
