I think that the bot needs a database, currently almost all the functions that a bot can have are thanks to automation with databases. I think that for the project to grow one needs one.

Personally I would like the database with mongodb, mongoose.

Message handling is already available in all official Discord clients and they have practically all the advantages that message commands have and even more. It only generates problems so I think it should be removed. I know it's an important part of the handler and probably a lot of work but it will only complicate Jo's development more.

In principle, for the verification of the bot it will be a problem because the Discord staff has said several times that if message intent is approved for the bot, it will only have to use it for functions that require it (command handling does not come into this) so one day or another it will have to be removed. It also complicates development a lot because, for example, for the implementation of sub commands, the message parser would have to be rewritten. Finally, at this point slash commands are a better option to use commands for example including argument types that messages do not which are difficult to imitate using messages.
