Since SMBv1 is considered a security risk, is there any way to support SMBv2/SMBv3 on the ix4-300d?

A while back I wrote a Python script for displaying images on the LCD display of the ix4-200d which can be found here:

It should work with the ix4-300d by changing the GPIO pins to the ones described at the beginning of this:

I assume you'd need to set up a chroot or something to get python and the necessary libraries installed (unless the stock firmware has those already) or install Debian on the device etc.
