the strings order in guitar neck is reverse,
the thinnest string is the first string (the high E string), and it counts up from there to the thickest string (the low E string).
e.g.
E A D G B E
A = 5th string
D = 4th string
G = 3rd string
B = 2nd string

nice to have more scales :
5th tones e.g. blue major pentatonic, blue minor pentatonic, etc
6th tones e.g. major hexatonic, minor hexatonic, etc
7th tones e.g. ionian, dorian, etc
8th tones e.g. harmonic minor bebop, melodic minor bebop, etc
9th tones and so on till chromatic

In scientific pitch notation, the guitar's standard tuning consists of the following notes:
E2–A2–D3–G3–B3–E4

n.b.
A2 is fifth strings, while in current version A2 is 2nd strings
