Hello rails app. This exercise is to create a React front-end with a Rails back-end and connect them to display a random message.

Front-end - React App

• Ruby
• Ruby on Rails
• PostgreSql

Go ahead and check the most recent version of each of these:

• Ruby (ruby --version)
• SQLite3 (sqlite3 --version)
• Node.js (node --version)
• Yarn (yarn --version)
• Rails (rails --version)

To clone the repo run:

git clone https://github.com/abdulhamiid/hello-rails-back-end.git

To access the cloned directory, run:

cd hello-rails-back-end

Install the required dependecies with:

bundle install

Before running below commands update config/database.yml with your local DBcredentials. Then run:

rake db:create

rake db:migrate

rake db:seed

Start the server with

rails s
