philips-tv-remote-card's Issues

Options button missing?

Is there a way to have an Options/Settings button? This is pretty essential on a philips tv.

Install

Cannot get this to work.

I got the lovelace fire remote working on the first try but this one just won't appear as a card.
I have the remote and media player entites created by the philips_js integration as well as Diyhue working with full control over the Philips tv.
When this card were installed I checked resources. The reference is correct but no card shows up.
Have I missed some dependency that is not referenced in the HACS install?
I have several remotes installed, can this be the reason?

Edit: fixed with the support from 5kate3r

Manual sources don't works.

Hi,
using the sources manually, it does not work. With the default sources it works, at least netflix.
I really appreciate your card and would be nice to fix this problem.
I've a Philips 55OLED854.

Not controlling my TV

Hi,

great work. I installed your integration and got it showing up on my dashboard.

I own a Philips OLED and have set it up as device in HA. But the only buttons working in this remote control are those for prime and netflix. All others, including volume and channels are out of work.

I installed the original LG remote, just for testing around. There the volume buttons are working - but only those.

Do you have any idea what I could change or try?

Best
Christian

Add support for native HA AndroidTV remote integration

Hi,

there is relatively new androidTV Remote integration which possibly could be supported by this addon along with Philips native support.

(my problem is that I have an OLED tv in living room and I'm using your remote and it's great. but in bedroom I have another, cheaper 32" Philips AndroidTV which doesn't support Philips protocol so I can't use the same looking remote for both of TVs)

If there is a possibility to add support for this: https://www.home-assistant.io/integrations/androidtv_remote
It would be nice.
Full command list is here: https://github.com/tronikos/androidtvremote2/blob/main/src/androidtvremote2/remotemessage.proto#L90
