Install TeX Live on Linux

Hi,

I had previously installed the "vanilla" version of TeX Live on Linux Ubuntu following the instructions at https://tex.stackexchange.com/a/95373, but last time I installed TeX Live based on the instructions in https://www.tug.org/texlive/quickinstall.html which was pretty straight forward.

If there isn't much difference in the outcome (especially for the latest release of Tex Live 2018 and Ubuntu 18.04), I think it's better to point people to follow the the easier instructions on the official TeX Live web page.

The simpler, the better.

Just thought to share my opinion.

Thanks.

Automate the release process

Currently my release process is:

  1. Make changes and update the CHANGELOG
  2. Commit and push changes
  3. Tag the release; e.g.:
git checkout master && git tag -a v1.0.0 -m 'Various overdue updates' -s HEAD
  1. Push the tag to GitHub to trigger continuous deployment and to allow for the creation of a "GitHub release":
git push --tags
  1. Run git checkout and recompile the PDF in order to get a local copy with the correct footer
  2. Go to, e.g., https://github.com/adamliter/latex-workshop/releases/new?tag=v1.0.0 in order to create a new "GitHub release"
  3. Upload a PDF of the new release, and point toward the most recent release using, for example, the following text:
A PDF of this version (`1.0.0`) of the handout can be found by following [this link][1].

A PDF of the most recent version of this handout can be found by following [this link][2].

...

  1. Copy and paste the contents of the CHANGELOG for this release below the above text (i.e., where the ellipsis is), but increase the heading level of all headers by one (i.e., remove one # from each header) and remove the brackets from around the release number (since there is no point in linking to itself)
