Errors were encountered loading footprints:
Footprint library path "/Users/adam/Projects/MX_Alps_Hybrid.pretty" does not exist

Can you may add this library?

thanks!

KMK/QMK based design (feature request)

There are various teased products out there, from replacement keyboards (like the kipper2k), to usb converters like the keyrah, but most of it seems like vaporware or at best is almost impossible to get a hold of.

For those of us who are interested in building emulators or FPGA based systems in a new A1200 case from A1200.net, there aren't many options for keyboards out there.

That said, DIY mechanical keyboards are relatively easy to do, but most of us don't have the knowledge to create a PCB; especially if it needs to conform to an existing design that a lot of us don't have access to directly measure.

How simple would it be to convert your existing PCB design to create something with a simpler column/row matrix that can easily be connected to a cheap micro controller flashed with one of the common keyboard firmwares, like KMK or QMK?

As an aside, what profile key caps did you use for the keyboard you have pictures of in this repository? It looks like DSA or something like that. I would assume not all key cap profiles will work for this.

Error in soldering mask

Hello,
ordering the A1200kb PCB from pcbway yesterday they hinted an error in soldering mask:

" About your order ,as the attache dpic showed, the pointed solderask openings at top side will expose the traces, pls advise if you can accept that and produce as your file?
Looking forward to your reply."

Of course this is not a big issue, so I confimed to produce the PCB as uploaded. But you might correct the solder mask in future revisions.

Wrong direction of Caps Lock switch / LED

Hello,
same as for the A600 kb, also the A1200 has the caps lock led on the right top. So the light from the led mounted at the bottom of the switch does not get to the window. The LED has to be at the top, so the switch has to be rotated 180ยฐ.
As the most simple way to make cherry keycaps is to use Amiga keycaps, cut the stem out and glue a cherry repair stem in (https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:1756671) on the A1200 it seems even more relevant than on the A600 (as it is more easy to source an old A500/A2000/A3000/A4000 for keycaps than an A600 due to the numbers sold)
