It would be nice to have:

• For all the MATLAB scripts, a way to specify the output directory and the format of output file names.
• A standard layout for storing the different types of generated file.

Add switches to generate_*.py to call fmagma.py and add the generated Magma files to the HTML database.

Remember doc/?

• Rewrite the explanation of the iteration algorithm.
• Write up explanations of the options for the Python scripts.
• Explain how to interpret error graphs and badness.
• Document difference between errorExp and errorMultiplier.
• Explain how to interpret project.py visualisations.

Add a runtime switch to clear the output directory before copying files in, to avoid recursively readding files from previous runs.

To do:

• Write a real analogue of ComplexDesignPotential
• Write a real analogue of getRandomComplexSeed
• Test

Scripts like runtf.m should print the name of the file they just wrote upon exit.

There should be a 3D projection alternative to project.py. (Depends on DreamKitchen.)

The "smart colours" option should either be:

• completely removed, because it's slow and awful, or
• fixed, by caching or something similar.

We should standardise the names of utilities.

• What tf does exp12.m mean?
• Why is there a difference between generate_from_search and generate_runtf?

Is the Gramian of a design (up to signs) a combinatorial t-design?

(c.f. real (t,d,n)=(3,4,24))

We should use a proper templating library like our favourite moustache, rather than outputting raw markup to a file.

• Make runtf.m and exp12.m actually save their error figures like search_designs.m does.
• Update generate_runtf.py so that it can display them.

Currently, there is an assumption throughout that vectors are unit norm.

• Can we limit this assumption to the DesignPotential classes?
• Can we introduce an easy interface to allow generation choice between weighted/non-weighted designs in runtf.m?

Write a Python tool to iterate through files in a directory, for each d,n,t sort by error, and allow user to interactively delete them.

The 2D projection script (project.py) and 3D projection script (project3d.py) should be able to actually produce a PDF or PNG image, as well as outputting TiKZ code.

Can we visualise the mean step length as a graph and plot it in realtime in runtf?
