add detailed page event tracking support for google analytics to more accurately track how users are interacting with the page
default layers / setting to display on page load. ie: when loading blank page, load from a saved link in toolbox.json
May be solve default base layer issue
Add check for and ability to load custom external script with Google Analytics info
url shortener for links (where actual link details are stored on server)
black tiles sometimes appear in print report
occasionally print report image does not generate at all
CartoDB added documentation for the static map feature which should be able to be accessed via the api. Look into generating static map image using this instead of manually tiling.
Alternative is to improve mosaic for current print map
When loading layers with fields (possibly only the first time the layer is loaded) the layer is loaded with the original CartoCSS then reloaded with the CartoCSS for the selected field.
Check if method for applying CartoCSS before loading the layer exists.
Add ability to set default base layer using the toolbox json file
May be duplicate of default layer/settings display issue
add zoom level display to map
Allows layers to be assigned to multiple groups for more display combinations
separate password from process.php file and make more secure
Make this a separate module so general template can with run with print option disabled without having to install gd on server
example:
group A has layers a1, a2, a3
group B has layers b1,b2,b3 and has limited display enforced
at any time, only one layer from group B can be visible along with any number of layers from group A
Currently layers all need to be in the same carto accout. Should be able to fix this by adding a account name field to each layer
Legends currently are rebuilt for every new layer / field using custom Jenks breaks. Ideally legends would be consistent between fields within a layer as well as between fields measuring similar data.
Potential solutions:
Layers which have a single "field" property still display the select box. Add support for detecting layers with a single field and removing / hiding the select box.
toolbox option that limits number of layers active at any time
options
i think there were issues with these when i tested them out a while back
Periodically delete old print reports.
May need a cron job on server to run
Field in toolbox.json which disables the print feature.
Explore using Mapcentia Geocloud2 as a replacement / supplement to CartoDB which we can run on our own server
Create a generic layer group that makes layer compatible with any other group without actually having specific groups assigned to it
