Aloy's Adjustments

Change characters, swap outfits and more. Mods for Horizon Zero Dawn.
It creates patch files for Horizon Zero Dawn and doesn't edit exiting game files.

Setup

  • If you have Horizon Zero Dawn on Steam it should be detected and setup automatically. Otherwise follow the 2 steps below.
  • In settings, set the game folder to the Horizon Zero Dawn main directory (ex. E:\Games\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Horizon Zero Dawn)
  • In settings, click Get Oodle DLL which will copy the required dll from the game folder

Usage

  • Make sure the game is not running.
  • Make the desired changes and click Install Pack. This will copy the mod file to the game folder.
  • Play Horizon Zero Dawn.

New Game Patch Fixes

  • After a new Horizon Zero Dawn patch use the Clear Cache button in the Settings tab and reinstall the mod using Install Pack
  • If too many things have changed it may be nessesary to delete the old mod file using Delete Pack from the Settings tab
  • See the troubleshooting section below if there are still issues

Mods

Outfits (Swaping character and outfit models)

Select the outfit(s) you want to modify from the right Outfits list.
Check-off the new model for the outfit(s) on the left Model Mapping list.
Use the filter in the top right to see all character options

Upgrade (Change resource upgrades)

Upgrade values are the increased capacity that the upgrade provides, not the absolute value.
Values can be changed by entering a new number in the grid.
The multipler buttons will apply a multiplier to all selected upgrades.

Ammo (Change ammo capacity)

Unlike upgrade ammo is the absolute value that Aloy can carry. Ammo upgrade 0 is the default amount of ammo Aloy can carry before any upgrades. Values can be changed by entering a new number in the grid.
The multipler buttons will apply a multiplier to all selected upgrades.

Miscellaneous

Misc plugin contains items that don't belong anywhere else. The options are self explanitory.

NPC Models (Swaping npc character models)

Select the npc(s) you want to modify from the right NPC list.
Check-off the new model for the npc(s) on the left Model Mapping list.
Use the filter in the top right to see all character options

Side Buttons:

Button Description
Install Pack Creates a bin file with the changes and installs it into the games Packed_DX12 folder
Reset Selected Resets the current item to its default value
Reset All Resets all items in the current tab to their default values
Load Loads an existing pack file

Troubleshooting

Status and errors are displayed in the bottom left. There isn't a lot of validation if things break restart the program.
Not all outfit/character swaps have been tested. If the game doesn't load or Aloy looks the same the swap didn't work.

If the game won't load try the following:

  • Use the Clear Cache button in the Settings tab. Restart the app. Reinstall the mod using Install Pack
  • If that doesn't work, use the Delete Pack from the Settings tab. Reinstall the mod using Install Pack
  • If that doesn't work, try deleting the patch file. The patch is placed in %GameDir%\Packed_DX12\Patch_AloysAdjustments.bin.

If the app won't load or is giving errors during loading:

  • Use the Clear Cache button in the Settings tab. Restart the app. Reinstall the mod using Install Pack
  • If that doesn't work, try deleting the patch file. The patch is placed in %GameDir%\Packed_DX12\Patch_AloysAdjustments.bin.

If you change the bin file name or move it, be sure to update config.json with the new name, otherwise the program can't get the original game files.

Cant open app due to error

When i try to open the program, i get an error which says... error: an attempt was made to load an assembly from a network location which would have caused the assembly to be sandboxed in previous versions of .net framework. This release of the .net framework does not enable cas policy by default, so this load may be dangerous. Any ideas what i did wrong? I extracted it and tried to run..

adept shield weaver

hi, i'm trying to buff the shield weaver armor, by giving it some modification slots.. This is the first time I#m trying to edit gamefiles myself and i cant figure out how to edit any core files extracted with decima explorer, i read in a previous issue that it wouldn't be possible with hzdeditor, since it creates an editable json file, wich can't be converted back in a core file? (please correct me if i'm wrong, as i said I'm new to editing gamefiles).
Is there any method of editing the .corefiles?

Hello i Love this Mod and there are so Many Characters to Play whit^^ I found a Character Called Ourea on Wiki she should be Part off Frozen Wilds

But i cant find her in the Tool ( I have all Characters shown) Is she there or is she not Playable?

Could there be more Aloy's NPC Models?

I notice that there aren't many Aloy's NPC models. I want to make some videos about role reversal; therefore, I need to replace some characters' models with Aloy's models. However, there isn't any Aloy's models on the NPC model list in the current version. I remember that there were a few Aloy's models in some of the old versions. I hope that there will be more Aloy's models on the NPC model list. Thank you.

UltraWeave 7.1 (original shield-weaver model)

Have you been able to find the model for the UltraWeave 7.1 armor as seen on the mannequin in the bunker?
IIRC, I think you see Elizabeth wearing it in a hologram in Gaia Prime, so I think the model does exist somewhere, but I don't see it in the list.

I just like the look of the original better than Aloy's version.

Thanks for your awesome work on this mod! It's nice to see someone make a real mod for HZD, not just a pervy nudity mod for once.

A character is missing from the NPC list.

Unless I missed him, but I checked the whole list to no avail, twice.
I found it funny that the first character I wanted to play as was not in the list.
If anyone knows where "Quarry Foreman" is, please let me know. Assuming it is in the list of NPC, that is.

app wont launch

finally been able to figure out how to download all of this (a newbie when it comes to github), I have both netcore 3.1 downloaded but everytime I try launching the exe it keeps showing the prompt to download netcore again, I deleted and reinstalled the adjustements zip again to see if that helped but nothing.

Swapping hunting bow models

Could you add them to the table? There are quite a few variants and it would be nice to change the model to the unobtainable Nora Longshot Bow just like with the Nora Lookout outfit.

Happened with both 1.7.3 and 1.7.4. Patch was generated using 1.7.3 (I think).

Changes in the existing patch:

  • 10x capacity
  • TFW outfits remapped to corresponding base game visuals

Is it possible to disable the menu music (inventory, map, etc)?

I've seen lots of discussions about the menu music and how it's so repetitive that it makes ears bleed. With access to resources seems like it should be possible to just swap it out with some silent audio file, maybe add this feature to the Misc tab. What do you think?

Interface elements are missing

I did everything exactly according to the instructions, but after starting the "Aloy's Adjustments" tabs "Otfits", "Upgrades", "Misc" and "Settings" are missing.

Steam Deck support?

Tried running it on my steam deck, but I know next to nothing about linux so I got nowhere. Does this even support linux?

Because I tried running it normally, and with whatever "Bottles" is, and both times I would click 'run' and nothing would happen.

Infinite loading screen

When trying to swap one of Aloy's outfits with an NPC the game gets stuck on an infinite loading screen upon trying to load a savegame. I'm running the latest version of the game as of today 1.11.2

App won't launch

I've downloaded the latest release and extracted it from the .zip, but when double clicking the .exe nothing happens. The app doesn't launch.

I have .Net Core 3.1.11 installed, but still nothing. Any advice?

Outfit swapping not working, latest game patch

As the title says, I tried swapping the Shield Weaver outfit with Carja Blazon Heavy, and when I equip Shield Weaver in game, nothing happens. But when I equip Carja Blazon Heavy, game goes into an infinite loading, and I need to End Task from Task Manager to essential kill the game process.
Running latest patch 1.11.2 (IIRC)

I get this error whenever i already have an aloyadjustment.bin I am able to use the program fine and save it. However I am not able to see the current mods I have made. I am using version 1.8.0 It happens when running as admin or normal

Can't run the application.

I double click Aloy's Adjustments.exe but nothing happens.
It used to work well about two weeks ago, but the app fail to launch now. I've tried deleting the Patch_AloysAdjustments.bin in Packed_DX12, but still fail to launch.

Launching

New to GitHub, mod recommended from user on Nexus Mods. The ReadMe doesn't seem to indicate how to launch the program and I haven't found a launch button anywhere in the file structure. Is this supposed to launch automatically as soon as I press play from Steam? How do I open the program? Sorry if these are noob questions.

how can i use aloy adjustment v1.80.exe?

and how to use the 'load' button? it changes aloys clothes not original but others? when i changed aloys original cloth to other cloth, aloy became ugly!(origin form,not adjusted ur mods)

appdata folder

The %appdata%\Aloy's Adjustments isn't created properly by 'Aloy's **Adjustments.exe'.
If the folder doesn't already exists 'Aloy's Adjustments.exe' will fail to launch and an error.log file is created saying (with an actual username in stead of a * of course):
System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path 'C:\Users\ *\AppData\Roaming\Aloy's Adjustments'.

Manually creating that folder allows 'Aloy's Adjustments.exe' to run.

I am using 1.6.4.

Swapping outfits creates an exception when running the AloysAdjustments

Swapping outfits creates an exception when reloading AloysAdjustments even after removing ALL other mods. It occurs in version 1.6 + when I install the pack and reload AloysAdjustments. I tried something simple like swapping "Nora Protector Light" for "Armor - Nora Brave", and then several others. None work unless I go back and use version 1.5.

The following error is placed in the error.log (from 1.8):

Carry capacity modification bugged in 1.8.1

After some random game launch, the capacity modification doesn't seem to apply anymore. Clearing the cache and reinstalling the pack multiple times doesn't solve the issue.

In the case of resource inventory, the modification seems to be applied, but the available capacity is reported as "0" and removing items from here actually makes the capacity go into negative values:

Patch_Aloys Adjustments.bin folder is not created

The installer application says that the pack is installed, but in fact there is nothing in the Packed_DX12 folder. I've already tried everything I can. And when you press the Load button and go to the Packed_DX12 folder there is a bin file! It's just brilliant! If anything, then I have a pirated version of the game, but this does not affect in any way, I am also IT, but a slightly different direction, but still I have an idea about it.

when i equip a outfit that i have changed it will not load the game in and will eventually crash i have tried all the trouble shoot options

I am not sure if you are still working on this. But if you are, is there any way to enable aim assist in the hard modes?

Weapons Swap?

Amazing work, transmog is always a plus in every game. Is it possible to do the same with bows? I just hate the look of the hunter bows and want to switch them with war bows model.
