Kicad 6 has introduced a new "S-Expression" format for symbol libraries. This library should be upgraded to the new format.

Anyone who is still using Kicad 5 can continue to use the 1.0.0 (a5c627e) release

I cannot import the library.

It gives "Archive does not contain a valid metadata.json file"

Define a "default" footprint, in addition to footprint filters. This is a new feature in KiCad 6 which I was previously unaware of. It allows enables footprint preview in the symbol selection dialogue.

Switch license from LGPL to CC-BY-SA as it is more appropriate for use with artwork.

Pin 38 is active low in your part, but it's actually active high

Pin 21 is missing (VSS)

Update the symbols to better comply with the Kicad Library Convents, as detailed here: https://klc.kicad.org/

I am a new Kicad 8 user on a Mac and it took me a while to figure out how to install it.

There is no Preferences->Preferences on a Mac for step 2 so I could not figure out how to do steps 2-7.

I did successfully install the library using the main panel with the "Plugin and Content Manager" at the bottom of the screen. Macs automatically unzip zip files when downloading so I needed to re-zip and/or re-download the file but it all seems to be working after using the zip.

Add the W65C134S and W65C265S microcontrollers to the library.

The relevant datasheets for parts W65C134S8Q and W65C265S8Q do not list the pitch of the part. This doesn't stop me from creating the symbol, but it means I've had to leave the Footprint filter vague (e.g. LQFP-80* instead of LQGP-80_<size>_<pitch>). If anyone knows the correct size/pitch of these parts, I'd be much obliged if you can let me know.

Some of the footprint filters are no longer valid as the Kicad standard library footprints have changed names (again!)

Following the instructions here, using KiCAD 6, get dialog box "Expecting '(' in 'C:....\65xx.kicad_sym', line 7, offset 1."

Review content of README.md to update it for release 2.0.0, and for updated Kicad 6 instructions.

Make library compatible with Kicad's Package & Content Manager (PCM)

Update README file with new installation instructions accordingly.
